Kingswood Hockey Player Career Stats

Ice Hockey at Kingswood began during the 1972-73 school year. A group of students aproached Warren Tickle and Steve Metz, and asked them if they would coach a hockey team here at Kingswood. With their words, "Yes!", Kingswood Ice Hockey took root. The early teams were "club" teams. Some of those first games were played against Holderness, Brewster and Dover. The Dover games were played at the Rochester rink because there was no rink in Dover at that time! The Knights played all their games away, except for a Brewster game. They practiced on Mirror Lake and Rust Pond, spending sometimes more time shoveling the snow off the ice, than skating! They played with "straight" sticks and several players used folded up news papers for shin pads. Their equipment was of every color. The only thing that was the same, were the jerseys that were donated by a very kind golf pro named, Dave Pollini. Here are the 14 players from Kingswood's first ice hockey season:
